Bio: I’m originally from Ohio, and I spent my undergraduate time at Elmira College in New York, where I graduated first in my class. I obtained my PhD in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire in May of this year. I am in the Social Psychology subfield, with interests in interpersonal relations, particularly romantic relationships and different processes that occur within them.
My Instructional Challenge: I have noticed that, while some students are actively engaged with the material as well as getting to know each other, others seem to only "come in," and complete the minimum required, with little interaction aside from what is necessary. How can I create new ways for these students to become more connected with the others in an online course?
