Plymouth State University
Associate Professor in the Educational Leadership, Learning, and Curriculum Department

Bio: Christie is an Associate Professor in the Educational Leadership, Learning, and Curriculum Department at Plymouth State University. She coordinates Master of Education (MEd) and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) programs in educational leadership that lead to K-12 Principal Certification and General concentrations in educational leadership.

My Instructional Challenge: Collaboration is an integral part of my instruction, and I find it very challenging to develop collaboration with my students in online courses. What are strategies I can use to improve my ability to develop an online community in my class? I am interested in exploring the use of open access as a collaborative tool. I would like to explore/practice using OER to collaborate with other teachers and to investigate OER’s potential for my students (who are all teachers and/or administrators) to use it for collaboration with others in the online educational community as well.
