We are looking forward to having you join us at Keene State College for the 6th annual Academic Technology Institute May 31-June 3.

We have provided answers to some frequently asked questions. If you have a question about ATI, KSC or Keene, that is not addressed below, please do not hesitate to contact Jenny Darrow ( at KSC directly.

What are the overnight accommodations like?

Accommodations for the USNH Academic Technology Institute will be in Pondside 3, a newly constructed air conditioned residence hall on the edge of campus. All rooms typically contain a twin bed, bureau, desk and a closet. Linens (sheets, towels, pillows, blankets) are provided. Pondside 3 features suite-style living with all suites offering a private bedroom, shared common space and a shared bathroom.

  • Check-in is between 12:00-1:00pm on Tuesday, May 31.
  • Check out time is between 7:30-8:30am on Friday, June 3

Using a GPS? Enter Wyman Way, Keene, NH 03431 and look for the ATI signs on the corner of Main Street and Wyman Way directing you towards Pondside 3. The KSC map is another good way to help you navigate once on campus.

What should I bring for Pondside 3?

You should bring toiletries and other personal items such as an alarm clock, blow dryer, extra blanket, and anything else to make your stay more comfortable.

Where do I park?

You will receive a KSC parking pass at check-in and will be directed to park in the appropriate lot.

Will you serve meals?

Yes, most meals will be served. Consider exploring Keene Menus for restaurants including: Fireworks, Stage, Spice Chambers, Thai Garden, Luca's, Odelay, Ramunto's, Works, Elm City, Pub, and Nicola's and Piedra Fina

  • Tuesday – a bag-lunch will be provided at Pondside 3 check-in and dinner and reception will be served 5-7pm in the Mabel Brown room in the Young Student Center.
  • Wednesday – breakfast 7:30-8:30am, lunch at 12. Dinner is on your own.
  • Thursday - breakfast 7:30-8:30am, lunch at 12. Dinner is on your own.
  • Friday - breakfast 7:30-8:30am, box-lunch to go.

Will I have a chance to relax?

The ATI schedule is full and, depending on the day, begins with breakfast at 7:30 every morning and concludes at 5pm. You will have access to beautiful KSC walking trails, the Spaulding fitness center, and beautiful downtown Keene where you will find over a dozen restaurants. Maps will be provided in your ATI packet or ask someone from KSC for suggestions.

Will I have access to the internet?

Yes, wireless internet is available across the KSC campus. Instructions for connecting to the wireless network will be provided when you check in and are included in your ATI information packet.

The institute provides you with a rare opportunity to talk with your USNH colleagues about pedagogy and scholarship in an immersive and supported environment.  We are very excited about the program and to have you join us at Keene State College in a few short weeks.
