Camp Open: Open Education: Pedagogy & Scholarship in a Connected Environment
Like the Academic Technology Institutes (ATI) of the previous years, this year’s 7th Annual ATI was a combination of inspirational, practical and hands-on activities and presentations. Forty-four faculty from all four institutions, known as Open Educational Ambassadors, were selected to participate in this event on the basis of their course project proposals. These proposals focused on one or more of the open education focus areas: open educational resources (OER), open pedagogy or open access journals. During the ATI, faculty refined their project proposals based on what they learned and over the next 12 months, they will redesign their courses, teach their courses and participate in a system-wide evaluation.
Before, during and after the event, information and reactions were shared via the #USNHshare Twitter stream and a curated list a resources was summarize using Storify. During the last session, faculty shared their key take-aways using Padlet.
