Access-OER (Fall 2020 or Winter 2021)

Project Description:

My project is to develop an accessible Capstone Guidebook for the MGMT660 Integrative Capstone for Applied Studies in Management course. I have been teaching this capstone course since 2015 and will utilize my own observations, teaching reflection and student feedback as the foundation for this resource. My vision is that this resource will enhance existing course content utilizing innovative academic technology focused on accessibility and continuous improvement. My intention is that in addition to supporting student success, this OER may also provide a framework for other capstone courses to adapt and remix as needed.

Access-OER (Fall 2020)

Project Description:

My project will focus on ensuring the new entrepreneurship classes have OER elements from the beginning of the course design phase, as well as converting my current Leadership course to include OER. As a strong advocate and user of OER for the past 3 years, I have been part of the national movement of increasing access for students by reducing cost of expensive textbooks. Part of my advocacy was not only to change my courses, but also to encourage faculty to redesign their courses with OER as well as working with Academic Affairs leadership to institutionalize OER.
