Camp Open: Pedagogy & Scholarship in a Connected Environment

We are looking forward to having you join us at Plymouth State University for Camp Open the 7th annual Academic Technology Institute May 31-June 2.

Parking and Check-in:
All ATI 2017 participants and support staff will park in the Langdon Woods lot including those not staying overnight. There will be no on campus parking. A shuttle will be provided to transport participants to Boyd Science Center for the start of the conference, or you can walk the .5 miles across campus. Coffee, tea, and continental breakfast will be served at Boyd before the opening keynote address.
- Check-in is between 8:30-9:30 am on Wednesday, May 31.
- Check out time is between 8:30-9:30 am on Friday, June 2.
Accommodations for the USNH Academic Technology Institute will be in Langdon Woods, a residence hall on the edge of campus. All rooms are single occupancy and contain a twin bed and private bathroom. Linens (sheets, towels, pillows, blankets) are provided. Please be aware there will be no daily housekeeping. Langdon Woods includes a fitness center on the first floor with several treadmills, elliptical machines and weights.
The PSU map is another good way to help you navigate once on campus.
What should I bring for Langdon Woods?
You should bring toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner) and other personal items such as an alarm clock, blow dryer, extra blanket, and anything else to make your stay more comfortable.
Meals, snacks and refreshments:
- Wednesday – Hot/cold drinks and continental breakfast 8:30-10:00 am at Boyd Science Center. Lunch at noon in Heritage Hall. Dinner at 5:30 will be a cookout on the Lawn in front of Mary Lyon Hall.
- Thursday - Breakfast will be served on the first floor of Langdon Woods from 8:00-8:45 am, lunch at noon in Heritage Hall. Dinner is on your own (List of Area Restaurants).
- Friday - Breakfast will be served on the first floor of Langdon Woods from 8:00-9:00 am. Box-lunch will be provided at noon; you may enjoy your lunch on campus or take it with you.
Coffee, tea and water will be available throughout the day along with light snacks.
The Camp Open schedule is packed full, generally beginning with breakfast at 8 am and concluding at 5 pm. You will have the opportunity to explore the Plymouth campus and surrounding community in the morning or evenings. Many shops and restaurants are within walking distance of campus, in addition to the walking trails adjacent to Langdon Woods. Wireless internet is available across the PSU campus. Instructions for connecting to the wireless network will be provided when you check in and are included in your ATI information packet.
The institute provides you with a rare opportunity to talk with your USNH colleagues about pedagogy and scholarship in an immersive and supported environment. We are very excited about the program and to have you join us at Plymouth State University in a few short weeks.
