Bio: My current position is as an Associate Professor in Kinesiology: Sport Studies where my focus in teaching is on social issues in sport, coaching theory and practice, and sport psychology. Additionally I work, both formally and informally, with other faculty in the College of Health and Human Services on improving pedagogical practice.
My Instructional Challenge: My current instructional challenge is associated with an online course. I am struggling with adapting the practical application components of the face to face content (e.g. peer coaching situations) into the online format. While I have been able to use some video clips to have students evaluate, I am looking for a better way to have them to do some self analysis in the online format. Associated with this challenge is figuring out what kind of OER's are out there relative to coaching and pedagogy of sport.
