Deborah Kolling serves as Lead Field Placement Faculty for Granite State College’s School of Education. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Edinboro State University in Pennsylvania and her Master’s Degree in Special Education at Providence College in Rhode Island. She taught public school for 33 years and worked as a consultant for educational collaboratives in both Rhode Island and New Hampshire. Deborah additionally served two years as a Differentiated Teaching Fellow for the RI Department of Education, providing the opportunity to coach and collaborate with teachers and paraprofessionals throughout the state, sharing instructional practices and strategies that support differentiation. Deborah co-developed and taught the graduate course, ‘Meeting the Needs of Diverse Learners’ for Providence College. Though retired from full time teaching, Deborah’s passion for supporting fellow educators in meeting the vast array of student diversity within classrooms and avoiding the ‘one size fits all’ approach to teaching continues.
