Keene State College
Professor of English, American, and Environmental Studies

Bio: Mark C. Long is professor of English, American, and Environmental Studies at Keene State College.

My Instructional Challenge: My instructional challenge is to build efficiencies into evolving project-based learning activities by integrating my digital footprint as a teacher, writer, research scholar, and editor. I use Word Press to teach teaching reading, thinking, and writing; to design courses as intellectual projects to which successive groups of students contribute their work; and to make visible my own professional activities. In addition, I am collaborating with students in undergraduate research--building accessible digital repositories in the Keene State College Commons, and editing an undergraduate journal--and collaborating with a faculty member at Truman State College to design a distance digital learning course for students at COPLAC member schools.
