Julie is currently an Associate Professor of Biological Science at River Valley Community College. In addition, she also serves as Department Chair for Science & Technology, as well as overseeing the biological science degree. She started her education career 17 years ago teaching music in elementary and middle school, then moved to teaching science in middle and high school. She’s been teaching college level sciences, clinical application courses, and bioethics for the last 12 years. Julie holds a BA in pre-med/music from College of the Holy Cross and a professional doctorate in chiropractic from Sherman College of Chiropractic. Her primary teaching responsibilities are in Anatomy & Physiology courses, for which she hopes to deploy OER/ORR materials for Fall 2020. She is passionately dedicated to perfecting the art and science of teaching, so she spends a significant amount of time discovering new ideas and educational research to work toward this goal.
